Torres Lindsey regularly represents both foreign and domestic creditors in Mexican loan recovery, restructuring, and foreclosures, and has developed particular expertise in collections, workouts, and settlement agreements, including the assignment of litigation rights over secured assets. The firm’s approach to collections ranges from amicable, out-of-court negotiation to the filing of criminal charges when debtors have engaged in fraudulent activity. As a result, the firm’s attorneys have experience coordinating their efforts with those of government enforcement agencies on both sides of the Mexico-U.S. border.
